The Committee shadows the work of the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine. The Committee was renamed during the Dáil term (24 May 2021) and was previously the Committee on Agriculture and the Marine.

Veterinary medicinal products, feed and fertilizers.

The committee reported on the legal pre-examination of the Veterinary Medicinal Products, Feed and Fertilizers Regulatory Bill 2022.

The Committee notes the potential lack of market competition in the distribution of veterinary products and notes that separate prescribing and dispensing of these products would eliminate such commercial conflicts of interest.
